This crib may be used until your child can easily climb out or is taller than 35 in. (89 cm).

Transitions

Key transitions

Adjustments and changes as your baby grows, in the order they typically come up.

When the child is born.

Set the mattress base at the highest level (Level 2).

Before the child can stand up.

Move the mattress base to the lowest level (Level 1) before the child can stand up.

When child is able to pull to a standing position.

Remove bumper pads, large toys and other objects that could serve as steps for climbing out.

When child begins to climb out or reaches the height of 35 in. (89 cm).

Stop using the crib. If converting it, use the sold-separately Toddler Bed Conversion Kit and follow the assembly instructions shipped with that kit.

Safety

Use a crib mattress that is no thicker than 6 in. (15 cm) and sized so that, when pushed firmly against any side of the crib, it does not leave a gap of more than 1 in. (2.54 cm) between the mattress and any part of the sides of the crib.
Any mattress used in this crib must be at least 27 1/4 in. (69 cm) by 51 5/8 in. (131 cm), with a thickness not exceeding 6 in. (15 cm).
Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers because they can cause suffocation.
Children can suffocate on soft bedding; do not place pillows, comforters or soft mattresses in this crib, and never place additional padding under an infant.
To reduce the risk of SIDS, healthy infants should be placed on their backs to sleep unless otherwise advised by a physician.
Do not place decorative pillows, toys or blankets in the crib while your baby is sleeping.
Do not use a water mattress with this crib.

Compatibility

Easily adapts from crib to toddler bed; conversion kits are sold separately.

Setup notes

Mattress platform is made from metal and has 2 adjustable settings.
Platform can be adjusted to the following heights: 8 in. and 16.25 in.
The mattress base should be at the highest level (Level 2) when the child is born.

Care instructions

Dust wood frame often using a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Blot spills immediately, and wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
Do not use chemical cleansers, abrasives or furniture polish.
Check regularly to see that every component is properly fastened and securely in place.
Do not over-tighten fasteners, as this may cause distortion or breakage.
Hardware may loosen over time; periodically check and re-tighten connections if necessary.
